Here are 3 tips to help you lost weight efficiently.
Tip #1 - High Quality Food
In Ayurveda, the quality of the food you eat is super essential. Because according to Ayurveda, different foods have different qualities, and the quality of the food you eat affects your whole system. You want to be aware of the quality of the food you eat and the effect it has on your body.
This means less processed, frozen, boxed foods and more freshly prepared foods. You do not necessarily have to aim directly at "organic" foods as that does not always deem possible for everyone's bank account. As long as you are eating foods that are prepared fresh, Ayurveda considers that food to be of high quality.
Tip #2 - Quantity of Food
The perfect quantity of food is different for every individual. There is not one ideal amount for every single person morning, noon, and night.
When it comes to Ayurveda, when you eat the correct quantity that best suits you, you will feel light, energetic, and happy. Overeating leads to lethargy and general feeling of discomfort within the body. Ayurveda educates that you should never eat until you are completely full. In the same way, undereating, eating less than the body requires or nothing at all; skipping meals, starving yourself, or excessive fasting or dieting leads to feelings of weakness.
"In Ayurveda, the secret to weight loss is eating easily digestible food regularly and never by going hungry."
Tip #3 - Always Eat at the Same Time
The less variation in your meal schedule, the better. The secret is that when we eat at fixed times, we only feel hungry at those set times. Depending on each individual’s digestion, the time between meals can vary between three to six hours. Ayurveda is not a big advocate for snacking between meals, but I am an advocate for listening to your body and if I am genuinely feeling hungry between my mail meals I will opt for a light snack.
Make it a habit to understand your relationship with food and learn the art of observing how your body, mind, and spirit react to certain foods.
